Missouri family wins $4.5 million in mesothelioma lawsuit - jurors critical of asbestos-contaminated materials

Kansas City, Missouri - The family of a man who died of mesothelioma won $4.5 milllion Wednesday from three companies who caused his exposure to asbestos, according to KCTV5 News.   The family argued that Robert Wagner had worked for years installing tiles and other materials containing asbestos.  More than 30 years later, Wagner died of mesothelioma, a cancer the jury found was caused by Wagner’s exposure to asbestos.  Wagner’s lawsuit was filed against several companies, the largest of which were were Bondex International Inc., of Ohio, Allied Manufacturing of Springfield, Mo., and Conwed Corporation of Wilmington, Del.
